Psychotherapist Application
Thank you for your interest in working with us. We are looking for a therapist who is willing to see a minimum of 15 sessions per week. It typically takes about three months to build up to this caseload. Candidates must be fully licensed in Washington, D.C. (ideally in VA and/or MD, as well) and have experience providing individual, couples, and group counseling. Candidates must be affirming of all people, culturally competent, BIPOC allies, and LGBTQIA affirmative.
Our therapists are independent contractors who have autonomy in their therapy work. They are committed to professional and personal development as evidenced by their engagement in their own psychotherapy and supervision. QLC therapists use an eclectic set of skills to meet clients where they are.
Responsibilities
- Minimum of 15 session hours per week required
- Provide high quality psychotherapy for QLC clients
Maintain clinical case notes for every session
Maintain your clinical licensure and malpractice insurance
- Stay in regular communication with clinical office (responding in a timely fashion)
- Work with a collaborative care team including other therapists, psychiatrists, and coaches
- Attend monthly team meetings (online)
- Write two blogs or vlogs per year
- Attend online book club (optional)
Experience
- Doctoral or Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy or other relevant field
- An active clinical license in Washington, D.C.
- Licensure in multiple states is highly valued
- Experience providing psychotherapy to adults (individuals, couples, and groups)
- Commitment to professional and personal growth
