Clinical Consultation
Dr. Christine Greer O’Connor, Founder of the Quarterlife Center, provides clinical consultation for early and mid-career therapists in private practice. In clinical consultation, I believe it’s important to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for therapists to explore issues pertaining to their current clinical work, professional development, career goals, and burnout. Together we will explore topics including use of the self as therapist, transference and countertransference, ethical issues including boundaries, and your self-care outside of the office. I encourage therapists to use creativity and flexible thinking in relationship to themselves and their clients. Additionally, I enjoy helping therapists explore topics related to private practice, business management, and practice growth.
I have over 20 years of experience serving clients in the mental health field, and I’ve been in private practice for 15 years, in NYC and Washington, DC. I use an eclectic approach with my own clients (individuals and couples), with an emphasis on psychodynamic psychotherapy, attachment theory, relational therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Imago Therapy. I regularly attend sex therapy courses and am a member of a sex therapy supervision group led by an AASECT therapist.
